End of the Year Violin Concert
Thanks to NUSSM Parent Sallie Draper for providing a compilation video from the year-end concert on Sunday, May 20th, 2012.
Breakfast at George’s
On May 5, 2012 we are having our final fundraiser for the year. Each family will be given 10 tickets to sell for the breakfast fundraiser. $5.00 will be profit for us so this is a very generous opportunity from George’s. The funds that are generated will be used for scholarships and student enrichment so everyone benefits.

Here is what you need to know:
- When: May 5, 2012 — 8:00 – 10:00am
- Where: George’s Fine Steaks in New Ulm, MN
- Each family will sell 10 tickets
- We need musicians (both piano and violin) to play for the event
- We need several workers to help both in the kitchen and on the floor (good opportunity to get those volunteer hours in)
- All unsold tickets and money collected will be brought to the April 30th group lesson night (Picture Night)
- Tickets can also be ordered by filling out this online form
- If you need more tickets — and we hope that you do — you can pick them up at group or private lessons any time
Scholarships
We are once again able to offer scholarships for our families that participate in summer music camps. We are doing it slightly different this year so that more can benefit from our scholarship opportunity.
Here are the specifics:
- All students of NUSSM are eligible
- Amount will be a percentage determined after we know how many are requesting funds
- You can qualify for only ONE scholarship — example: if you are doing both Pops Camp and the WI Suzuki Institute you need to pick one
Pleas contact the office if you are interested in a scholarship and let us know what the funds would be used for. We will be in contact with you regarding the amounts available.
Group and Individual Photos
On April 30th we will be having Shayds of Color at group lessons for both group and individual pictures. We will have picture order forms available at group lessons. Please note:
- Piano Group lesson schedule — all students — 4:30 – 6:00pm
- Violin Group lesson schedule — all students — 5:00 – 7:00pm
- NUSSM group picture taken at 5:45pm
- ALL STUDENTS: wear black bottoms and white tops
- ALLEGRO STRINGS STUDENTS: girls wear dresses and boys wear black and white with black tie
