What We Offer

So many people have asked us this in the past few months we thought it would be good to review with our own parents what exactly is offered through the New Ulm Suzuki School of Music.

Our core offerings are, of course, both individual and group lessons for violin, viola, piano, cello, and bass. On top of that we also offer many other things. Listed below are the things that we have offered in the past couple of years. Take a look and see if you missed something that you really would like to have been a part of. Some of these things are offered every year and others are offered every other year. We hope you take advantage of many of them. We try to offer a wide variety of performing and arts opportunities for our students. Let’s take a look:

  • Individual lessons – weekly
  • Group lessons – weekly
  • Summer lessons – as scheduled
  • Note-reading classes – weekly
  • Recitals – three-times annually
  • Concerts – one-to-two-times annually
  • Outside performances – one-to-two-times annually
  • 1-day workshop – annually
  • Accompanying opportunities for intermediate and advanced piano students
  • Ensemble opportunities for intermediate and advanced string players
  • Group participation – group lessons and performances
  • Summer Pops Camp – annually
  • Group attendance at various arts events – annually or semi-annually
  • Minnesota Orchestra concerts
  • Musical performances at the Orpheum or Chanhassen theaters
  • Mankato Symphony Orchestra concerts
  • Summer Institutes at Stevens Point, WI – annually
  • Summer Institute at MacPhail Center for the Arts, Minneapolis, MN – annually
  • Suzuki Association of Minnesota Graduation Recitals – annually
  • MMTA Honors Concert (piano) – annually
